A new survey from Mark Ramsey Media and VIP Research found that the vast majority -- 88 percent -- of consumers did not look specifically for an on-board FM radio the last time they shopped for a mobile phone. Only 4 percent reported that they looked for FM. Says MRM's Ramsey, "FM radio is simply not a feature that motivates decision-making about which mobile phone to buy."
Apple spokeswoman Trudy Mueller tells Radio Ink, "There are many unique radio apps in the App Store, and we look forward to approving many more." Mueller was responding to questions about reports that Apple has banned some or all radio apps that stream a single station from the App Store.
