As of today, veteran programmer Kevin Metheny is the new PD for Cumulus-owned WJR in Detroit. Metheny?s experience includes programming and operations positions with Clear Channel, Tribune Broadcasting, CBS, and Jacor. He?s best known for his recent success with Clear Channel and as having programmed the legendary WNBC/New York City. He was also once VP/Programming & Production at MTV and VH1 television. He spent 10 years at WTAM/Cleveland and is credited with re-launching that brand and re-building the station into its dominant position.
