kinosianmikePPM Analysis: Classic Hits-Oldies.  RadioInfo managing editor Mike Kinosian presents the final in his three-part analysis of the performances – in the Nielsen Audio October 2016 PPM survey – of stations airing gold-based formats.  Previously, we looked at adult hits and classic rock.  Today, we turnkcmo-fm to classic hits-oldies.  Two stations stand out with regard to (6+) share increases from September's survey to October's: Cumulus Media's KCMO-FM, Kansas City (rising from a 7.2 to and 8.1) and iHeartMedia's KLOU, St. Louis (from a 6.4 share to a 6.9).  Year-over-year share increases were dominated by KCMO-FM as the station rockets from a 4.4 share to an 8.1, jumping from #10 in the market in October 2015, to #1.  Seven stations in all airing the format ranked #1 in their respective PPM markets in October.  Find out which ones here.
DiModica and Ryder Promoted at Cumulus' Hot AC 'Q105.5' in Toledo.  At Cumulus Media's Toledo hotdimodicajohn AC WQQO "Q105.5," John DiModica is promoted to program director and Russ Ryder rises to ryderrussassistant program director.  Longtime Toledo air personality DiModica – who goes by "Johny D" on the air – will continue to host afternoons on WQQO and middays on sister classic country WMIM "98.3 NASH Icon."  Ryder has been with Cumulus Toledo since August and will also host middays on WQQO.  Cumulus Media Toledo operations director Bill Michaels comments, "I am excited about John and Russ taking over WQQO programming.  The two have a unique energy and work well together.  Paired with their extensive market experience, they are a perfect fit for these positions."
