Special Memorial Day Show Returns

"A Grateful Nation," debuted in 2012 as a one-hour program, but was expanded to a three-hour format in its second year due to popular demand. News/talk stations can support military families Memorial Day weekend by airing the show which is a spoken-word program honoring those who have fought and died to defend America, and the loved ones who share the burden. ?A Grateful Nation? is a project of Fisher House Foundation, which provides no-cost housing and other support for the families of wounded warriors while their loved ones are being treated at military and VA hospitals.

Stu Olds Memorial Golf Classic to be Held June 12th

Friends of Stu Olds, in conjunction with The Broadcasters Foundation of America, have announced the second annual Stu Olds Memorial Golf Classic to celebrate the life and career of the former head of Katz Media Group, who passed away in December, 2010. The event will take place at Olds? home club, Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford, New York, on June 12th

Don Bouloukos, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, CBS Radio, New York, and Mark Gray, President, Katz Radio Group, will co-chair the event.The entry fee is set at only $250 per player to allow everyone who wants to play the opportunity to do so. Proceeds will go directly to the Stu Olds Memorial Fund, which has generated more than $500,000 to benefit the mission of the Broadcasters Foundation of America.  Olds was a staunch supporter of the Foundation and served on the Board of Directors as Vice Chairman.
