This is probably not the kind of R.O.I. radio executives will be bragging about to ad agencies. Green Bay police are searching for a woman who ran ads on La Mas Grande Radio promising to pray over people's money and offer them spiritual guidance. Turns out the woman wound up stealing nearly $30,000 from people who were duped. Police say the woman is targeting the Hispanic community, especially people who do not speak English well. WBAY-TV in Green Bay has more details on the scam.

It doesn't happen much but Rush Limbaugh has admitted he made a mistake. He has apologized for calling a woman a slut. The furor over his choice of words reached the point where his syndicator Premiere Radio Networks had to send out a press release. In it Rush said " In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke." Rush called Sandra Fluke the "S" word while discussing the issue of contraception which has gotten a lot of attention in the Republican race for President. His show on Monday will certainly be interesting.
More from the Limbaugh statement: "I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if tax payers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit? In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level. My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.?

(AUDIO) Woman Alleging Fox Fight Calls Elvis
Bus driver Heather Bormann, who says she listens to the Elvis Duran Morning Show every morning on KIIS-FM in Cleveland, called in to share her story about her altercation with Matthew Fox on Sunday. Fox attempted to board her bus and when she wouldn?t let him, punches were exchanged. Duran asked Bormann, ?Matthew Fox didn?t hit you hard did he?? She said, ?He bruised me up pretty bad. My right leg from pretty much my mid-calf to above my knee is completely bruised up?yes, he got me in the taco?? Duran continued and asked, ?Did he seem to be out of sorts?? Bormann said, ?His eyes were very glassy and he stunk. He smelled like liquor. He smelled worse than my bus did and there were 17 guys drinking.?

She went on to describe what happened after the police arrived. ?An off duty officer took him into custody. When the car showed up, they put him in the back of the car. The officer looked at me and said, ?Do you know who this guy is?? Yes, that?s the guy who assaulted me. He said, ?no do you know who this guy is?? The jerk that hit me. He goes, ?It?s Matthew Fox from Lost. I said I don?t care, he hit me and I hit him back.?
Co-host Carolina Bermudez asked if he or his representatives have reached out to her to offer an apology, to which Bormann responded, ?No. None of his people, nobody has reached out to me whatsoever not him, not his people?everybody is trying to contact him and he?s not talking to anybody.
Everybody is saying no comment for him.?When Duran asked if she would accept cash as an apology and drop charges, she said, ?That?s a question for my lawyers.?

ABC News in Denver says A Colorado woman accused of groping a Transportation Security Administration agent at the airport in Phoenix also works as a volunteer radio DJ at KGNU in Boulder. Police say Yukari Miyamae, 61, entered the screening area in Terminal 4 last Thursday, became argumentative and refused to be screened by TSA staff. Officers say Miyamae grabbed the left breast of a TSA agent with both hands, squeezing and twisting it. She was arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse.

Nounoune Lubin is hit with the fine for operating an unlicensed transmitter at 90.1 MHz in North Miami, Florida. Agents from the Miami Office say Lubin, despite acknowledging receipt of two Notices of Unlicensed Operation, apparently continued to operate an unlicensed radio station on 90.1 MHz from her residence in North Miami, Florida. Lubin requested cancellation of the proposed fine because she claims she did not, and has not ever, operated an unlicensed radio station.
The commission says Lubin?s assertion that she did not operate a station is unpersuasive. Agents observed a clearly visible coaxial cable coming in through a back window of Ms. Lubin?s residence that was connected on one end to the antenna in the backyard, and on the other end to transmitting equipment apparently located in her residence. Lubin also signed for two written NOUOs notifying her that an unlicensed radio station was operating in her residence. Assuming, arguendo, that Ms. Lubin did not technically operate the radio station equipment in her residence and was originally unaware of the nature of the equipment, once she received the notices she had the opportunity to evaluate all unknown electronic equipment in her residence and ensure that operation did not continue.
