Bustos Media Files To Transfer All Stations

Radio Ink has confirmed that Bustos Media has filed to transfer all its radio and TV licenses to NAP Broadcast Holdings, named for three of its senior lenders. CEO Amador Bustos and VP/Operations John Bustos exit with the merger agreement, and Broadcast Management & Technology President/CEO Jay Meyers takes over as interim CEO until the FCC approves the station sales.

A third lawsuit has been filed to block Emmis Communications from going private, claiming the price of $2.40 a share is too low, the Indianapolis Star reports.

The FCC has ruled that Missouri stations do not have to air ads for white supremacist write-in Senate candidate F. Glenn Miller. An attorney for the Missouri Broadcasters Association tells the Kansas City Star that the commission agrees with the MBA that Miller is not a bona fide candidate.

Two Greenville, TX, stations sold by Cumulus to KGVL Radio last year are going back to Cumulus, the Greenville Herald-Banner reports.

In a Bridge Ratings survey on digital preparedness, budget was the reason most cited for radio stations' not having the digital resources they need, followed closely by concerns about "know-how." Bridge talked with 242 GMs and market manager, and says, "It is clear ... that traditional radio's executives find themselves between a rock and a hard place; the desire to move faster is there, yet the resources are not."

Report: iPhone Coming To Verizon Wireless In 2011

Verizon Wireless will start selling iPhones in January, Bloomberg reports, citing "two people familiar with the plans." AT&T has had an exclusive arrangement for iPhone service since Apple introduced the smartphone in 2007.
