May Proves Momentous for Demay. Three-year WWLI "Lite Rock 105," Providence program director
Brian Demay transfers from the
Cumulus Media adult contemporary facility to Cincinnati for the same responsibilities at co-owned, similarly programmed WRRM "Warm 98." Cumulus Media regional vice president and Cincinnati market manager
Dave Crowl comments, "We are pleased to welcome Brian to our team. Brian's successful track
record in the competitive Providence market makes him fully prepared to further build the value of the 'Warm 98' brand to our listeners, advertisers, and the Cincinnati community. We look forward to his contributions." According to Demay, "Leading 'Warm 98' is a dream-come-true. I am excited to be able to come home again and reconnect with friends and family in Ohio. I am going to miss my talented team in Providence, but the Cumulus Cincinnati team is awesome; I cannot wait to get started." In addition to programming "Lite Rock 105," Demay was the station's afternoon personality; he continues as a
Westwood One AC talent. Before joining "Lite Rock 105," Demay programmed WTSS, Buffalo; adult contemporary WJBR-FM, Wilmington (Delaware); and WUMX, Charlottesville (Virginia); was operations manager for WCLR, WZLR, & WPTW, Dayton; WBQB and WFVA, Fredericksburg (Virginia); and for
iHeartMedia Charlottesville. According to March 2016
Nielsen Audio PPM results for Providence, "Lite Rock 105" is #1 for the fifth successive ratings period (12.1, 6+) and has been in double-digits (6+) each time. Meanwhile, "Warm 98" is fifth and is down for the third straight time (11.9 – 7.2 – 6.3 – 6.1, 6+).
