— Our in-depth summaries of August 2016 PPM results conclude with a synopsis of country; previous scoreboards were devoted to adult contemporary (Wednesday, 9/7) and hot AC (yesterday, Thursday, 9/8).
Among these three particular formats, adult contemporary boasts the most prolific August 2016 6+-market rank (5.25) and strongest 6+- share (5.76).
Meanwhile, remarkably similar to each other in those two areas in August 2016 are country (#9.39/4.43, 6+) and hot AC (#9.36/4.13, 6+).
As was the case with adult contemporary and hot AC, country breakouts below consist of data from outlets that finish in the top 20 in any PPM-market (6+, August 2016).
Over and above that particular ratings caveat is another parameter: Nielsen Audio only releases audience estimates for stations that subscribe to its services. For that reason, ratings stats in this RadioInfo analysis are limited to stations that pay Nielsen Audio for its data.
With the exception of San Francisco and Norfolk, all 48-PPM markets have at least one qualifying country station.
