Fight Breaks Out At St. Louis Station

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports a KFNS employee is under arrest after a fight with a co-worker at the station on Friday. The paper did not identify anyone involved in the fight, only reporting that "a 50-year-old went to the station to confront co-workers who had made comments about him and his family. The man and a 47-year-old got into a verbal dispute and the younger man told police he was punched by his co-worker as he was walking away. The man accused of throwing the punch was arrested but no charges had been filed as of Saturday evening. The station is owned by Grand Slam Sports.

KKZX Breaks Up Popular Spokane Morning Show

Clear Channel Spokane Market Manager Cal Hall tells the Spokesman-Review it came down to money between the company and the hosts of "The Radio Men," Jim Arnold and C. Foster Kane. ?We were working with the Radio Men, trying to come to an agreement financially. Unfortunately, we were not able to come to an agreement with C. Foster Kane, so we decided to part ways.? The morning team had been together at the station for over 20 years. Arnold remains with at KKZX, now in afternoon drive.

When Your Water Breaks On The Air?

Congratulations to Kathi J from Lincoln Financial Media's KS107.5 in Denver. Kathi and her husband brought their new daughter "Baby J" into the world this week. That may not seem like a newsworthy item to some being that babies are born every day, even to radio people. However, Kathi's water broke while she was on the air Wednesday.

Co-host, Larry Ulibarri, acting like a typical male stating,  ?Oh my God, gross. That is so ? Did you just pee?? Kathi was taken to the hospital where she gave birth to Baby J (7lbs 1oz. and 19 3/4 inches) about one week earlier than expected.

(UPDATED) KFI's Mike Nolan Survives Plane Crash. Breaks Collar Bone.

(3:30PM Eastern update Saturday) Neil Saavedra tells Radio Ink Nolan suffered a broken collar bone, 2 cracked ribs, and some cuts. The person flying with Nolan suffered cuts but no additional injuries are known. Nolan and his passenger both spent the night at Riverside Community Hospital. Saavedra says he expects them both to be released today.

Clear Channel owned KFI-AM is reporting on its website that longtime traffic reporter, Mike Nolan, was involved in a plane accident just east of the Corona Municipal Airport. The website story says both Nolan and his passenger escaped with non life-threatening injuries. So far the reports are that the airplane engine malfunctioned.
