2015 Chrysler 300 Adds HD Radio

Chrysler models equipped with the Uconnect premium 8.4AN system will now get HD Radio. The 2015 Chrysler 200 already offers HD Radio. Other Chrysler brands including Jeep, Dodge, Ram, and Fiat, which was announced last week at the LA Auto Show, also offer HD Radio receivers. HD Radio is or will be available as a factory-installed feature from all major auto manufacturers in the U.S.  The brands include Acura, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Jaguar, Jeep, Kia, Lamborghini, Land Rover, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MINI USA, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Ram, Rolls-Royce, Scion, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo.

Chrysler Has Huge Quarter

Radio managers around the country love to hear positive news about the auto industry. Big auto revenue means heavy Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning spotloads with screaming car dealers urging the general population to get into a new vehicle. Adjusted net income for the quarter was $659 million. Fourth-quarter revenue advanced 24 percent to $21.2 billion. For 2013, Chrysler posted net income of $2.8 billion, up 65 percent from the $1.7 billion annual profit posted in 2012. Adjusted net income for the year was $1.8 billion. Revenue for 2013 was $72.1 billion, up 10 percent from $65.8 billion in 2012.

Chrysler Becomes Pandora's 25th Auto Partner

Pandora will now be available on the 2015MY Chrysler 200, through the vehicle?s Uconnect Access Via Mobile service. Through the connectivity of a smartphone, Chrysler?s Uconnect Access Via Mobile service transfers controls of Pandora from mobile devices into the Uconnect system?s 8.4-inch touchscreen display. Pandora is also available in other Chrysler vehicles including the 2014 Dodge Durango, 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, 2013 & 2014 Ram 1500 and SRT Viper.

Harvey Creates "Sense of Comfort" in Chrysler Ad

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writes the Paul Harvey/Chrysler ad was "One of the most acclaimed television ads from Sunday's Super Bowl." The ad called "So God Made a Farmer," was "two minutes of love and nostalgia for the heartland, narrated by iconic radio voice Paul Harvey." The ad was delivered over an audio excerpt from Harvey's 1978 speech to the Future Farmers of America. Here's the full story from the Gazette.
