"Boston Herald Drive" Debuts Monday

Boston Herald Radio, WMEX 1510 AM, is signing on a new morning team Monday with the debut of "Boston Herald Drive." Adriana Cohen, Boston Herald political columnist, and Tom Shattuck will form the core of the new team airing 7-9am weekdays.
Herald Editor-in-Chief Joe Sciacca says in The Boston Herald, "Media who simply recite the 'live and local' mantra aren?t cutting it. 'Boston Herald Drive' will deliver with hosts who are from here and reporters who cover the news that is happening here right now, in real time. The power of our multimedia reporting combined with the 5,000 watts of WMEX makes this new morning show an instant must-listen."
The Herald is also reporting some other reshuffling on Boston Herald Radio, "Sports Town"  will move to the 1 - 4 p.m slot and "The Money Show," formerly an hour-long weekly, now gains the 4-6pm time slot.

Boston Herald Launching Boston Herald Radio

It will be 12 hours of talk every day streamed from the Boston Herald website according to Herald Publisher Patrick Purcell. Four shows will stream live from a new studio adjacent to the Herald?s newsroom located in Boston?s Seaport District. The shows are: ?Live from the Newsroom with Jeff Katz,? Jaclyn Cashman and Hillary Chabot?s ?Morning Meeting,? "The Michael Graham Show,? and "Sports Town with Jon Meterparel and Jen Royle.? Radio veteran Tom Shattuck is executive producer of Boston Herald Radio.

Purcell said, ?Internet radio is exploding and it makes sense that the Herald rounds out our multimedia platform with talk radio programming. It?s perfect  synergy.
