NRG Morning Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident

Benjamin Parsons was killed in a motorcycle accident last Thursday. No other vehicles were involved in the accident on U.S. Highway 30 near Ames, Iowa. Parsons, who hosted the KWBG morning show in Boone, Iowa, had been with the station for 11 years. GM Carol Kuster said in a statement: ?He?s been a presence in the community as our morning show host, ad sales, former Chamber of Commerce president, and Chamber Ambassador who was always willing to lend a hand. We will miss our friend." Parsons was 52.

DLC GM Dies In Motorcycle Crash

DLC is home to WAMW in Washington, Indiana, where 46-year-old Brad Deetz was the general manager. The Times Herald reports Deetz was killed Wednesday while riding his motorcycle. Deetz was riding a 2008 Yamaha when the bike collided with a truck pulling a trailer at an intersection. Deputies say the driver of the truck told them he stopped at the stop sign and looked and did not see the oncoming motorcycle. When the truck pulled into the road, Deetz struck the passenger-side front wheel of the pickup. He was then thrown from the motorcycle into a ditch.

KKLA Host Thrown From Motorcycle

55-year-old Frank Pastore was in an accident while riding his motorcycle Monday night. Local media is reporting his injuries are serious. Pastore, a former pitcher with the Cincinnati Reds, has been a host on Christian radio station KKLA in Glendale California since 1994. Pastore was thrown from the motorcycle and found unconscious on the freeway.
