Affiliates were caught off guard with the unexpected announcement that the popular Eddie "Piolin" Sotelo morning show was canceled without explanation from Univision. Piol?n's radio show "Piol?n por la Ma?ana" ran weekday mornings on more than 50 Univision and non-Univision affiliate radio stations in the Spanish language format and online. Piol?n is also known for his activism on immigration reform, and has often discussed his own experience of immigrating to the United States on his radio program. He's scheduled to go into the National Radio Hall of Fame in November.
