The Adams cluster Ilczuk-Lavanceau is now responsible to generate revenue for includes "OC104," "93.5 The Beach," "Big Classic Rock 98.5/107.7," "100.3 Juan-FM," and WJWL/WJWK-AM. Ilczuk-Lavanceau most recently spent 15 years working in sales for Comcast in the Delmarva area.Adams Radio Group Market Manager Phil LoCascio said, "Patricia is the perfect person to lead our team to new heights. Monk to Run Adams Cluster in Fort Wayne

Chris Monk has been hired by Adams Radio of Fort Wayne as VP & Market Manager. Monk will run the eight Adams stations in that Indiana market, which are WWFW (Soft Rock 103.9), WBTU (US933), WJFX (Hot 1079), WXKE (963XKE), WGL AM (Fox Sports 1250), WLYV AM (1450 The Patriot), B96.9 (R&B + Old School) and Great Country 103.3. Monk was raised in South Bend, Indiana and has thirty-five years in radio, including as a GM, SM and owner.

Adams Buys Eight From Great Scott

Great Scott Broadcasting has agreed to sell eight of its stations in the Salisbury-Ocean City, MD market to Adams Radio of Delmarva Peninsula. The deal includes WGBG-FM and WJWK-AM (both licensed to Seaford, DE), WJWL-AM and WZBH-FM (both licensed to Georgetown, DE), WKHI-FM (licensed to Fruitland, MD), and WOCQ-FM (licensed to Berlin, MD), along with two FM translators. Kalil & Co. was the broker in the transaction.

Adams President/CEO Ron Stone said, "We are very excited to join the broadcast community in Salisbury-Ocean City! This cluster is another rare opportunity to acquire a company that has been in the same family for almost 50 years. We are honored to be chosen by the Scott family to be the next stewards of these great stations. These stations are a great complement to the other markets we have acquired."

Adams Radio Group re-entered the radio business in July, and this is its fourth cluster; the group also has clusters in Las Cruces, NM; Fort Wayne, IN; and in the Chicago suburbs in Northwest Indiana.

Lisa Adams is the new PD at Click 98.9 (KLCK- FM) in Seattle. Adams was most recently the O.M./P.D. of KCIX (Hot AC), KWYE (Hot AC), KXLT (AC), and KAWO (Country) in Boise for Townsquare. She's also worked for CBS in Portland, Oregon and spent many years in Seattle where she worked for Sandusky (now Hubbard), Infinity, and Entercom. Scott brings over thirty years of major-market programming, operations, talent coaching and on-air experience from Detroit and Cincinnati. He most recently served as PD/Afternoon host for Cumulus-Cincinnati's WNNF NASH FM 94-1. Prior to Cincinnati, Mike spent twelve years as Assistant Operations Manager/Assistant Program Director-Music Director and midday talent for powerhouse country station WYCD (CBS) in Detroit. Adams recently acquired Soft Rock 103.9 along with WBTU, WJFX, WXKE, WGL AM, WLYV AM and translators 103.3 and 96.9.

Adams Radio Picks Up Four In Indiana

Kalil and Company brokers the deal for WLJE-FM, WAKE-AM, Valparaiso; WXRD-FM, Crown Point; and WZVN-FM, Lowell; all in Indiana, from Radio One Communications to Adams Radio Group. Radio One Communications in Indiana is owned by Leigh Ellis who has no other stations. Adams Radio Group based in Minnesota is owned by Ron Stone. Adams owns stations in Las Cruces, NM, and has applications on file to acquire stations in Ft. Wayne, IN, which are scheduled to be approved by the FCC sometime in the 2nd quarter.

Mark Adams Heads To Portland

Adams will oversee operations for Clear Channel's eight stations in Portland, OR, as VP of programming. He joins Clear Channel Portland from CBS Radio in Houston, where he was VP of Music Programming. He joined CBS Radio in April 2008 and also served as Operations Manager and Program Director. Adams worked in Portland from 2000-2008 as PD of KXJM and Operations Manager for KXL-AM. He's also worked in the San Francisco, Milwaukee, and Fresno markets.

I'm looking forward to working with all of the incredible brands and teams in the market and contributing to their future success," said Adams. "Portland is one of my favorite cities in the country and it's exciting to have the chance to return to the Pacific Northwest and do some great radio."

Wes Adams Joins URBan Radio Broadcasting

URBan Radio Broadcasting and The Shoals' Radio Group have announced the addition of Wes Adams to the company's programming staff. Adams joins the company next week as PD/Afternoon Driver for Country WLAY-FM in the Florence/Muscle Shoals. Previous programming stops for Adams include WCRX-FM/Chicago, WXQR-FM/Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville, NC, WZVN-FM, WLJE-FM and WAKE-FM/Valporaiso, IN  and WZNX/Decatur, IL. Adams replaces the late Kevin Whorton, who passed away suddenly from heart failure in August.
