Entercom Norfolk?s WNVZ-FM and WPTE-FM took home awards at the recent Virginia Broadcasting Association gathering in Virginia Beach. WPTE's Chuck and Woo Woo in the Morning won for Best Human Interest Series for their CHKD Radiothon interview and WNVZ's Morning Zoo won for Outstanding Feature Reporting for their interview with First Lady Michelle Obama. Market Manager  Bennett Zier said, ?I am excited that VAB recognized the fine work of these very talented people at Z104 and 94.9 The Point. I am truly honored to be associated with them.?

Entercom Moves Timothy Robisch to Norfolk.

Robisch becomes the D.O.S. at Entercom's four Norfolk properties, WWDE-FM, WNVZ-FM, WPTE-FM and WVKL-FM. With over 26 years of media sales management experience at national, regional and local levels, Robisch comes to Norfolk directly from Entercom?s Kansas City seven station cluster where he served as Director of National Sales and GSM for WDAF-FM.

Robisch?s credentials include management positions at Susquehanna Radio Kansas City, Cox Radio?s WHTQ-FM/WHOO-AM in Orlando and at Katz Media Corporation in Detroit. Robisch commented, ?It?s a privilege to have this opportunity to join the Entercom Hampton Roads team and Bennett Zier and build upon our continued growth as the premier marketing resource of Norfolk-Hampton Roads-Virginia Beach.?

Saga Brings in Commander For Norfolk

Carol Commander is the new Director of Sales for WNOR, WAFX and WJOI Radio. She began her career in radio sales at WNOR, WAFX and WJOI in 1985. She quickly climbed the ladder to Senior Account Executive and then on to Regional Sales Manager. Since that time she has launched two companies, ?Sponsorships Unlimited? and Commander Enterprises, a company specializing in Event Production, Marketing and  Sponsorships. Saga VP/ General Manager Wayne Leland said ?We are so fortunate to be able to bring Carol on to this great team. She will be a tremendous asset to our people and our customers. Saga Hires Wayne Leland As New Boss in Norfolk

Leland will take over the reigns as Vice President/General Manager at WNOR-FM, WAFX-FM and WJOI-AM. His first day will be July 5th. Leland is currently a Citadel Regional president and with a shakeup about to happen at Citadel, Leland moves over to Saga. Currently Leland manages 12 stations for Citadel. He replaces the departed Diane Hubel. The Citadel sale to Cumulus is expected to close later on in the year.
