In comment filings on the digital transition for low-power TV, NPR and Venture Technologies express very different opinions on using LPTV stations as FM radio outlets, with NPR saying such stations "tend to circumvent" commission rules, to which Venture responds that the stations are in compliance, and accuses NPR of "institutional elitism." NPR is pushing for a quick digital transition, while Venture says setting a firm date would be premature. |
