Donny Osmond, who hosts a syndicated daily radio show is calling it quits at the end of March after only three years. Osmond will continue his daily syndicated features (Donny?s Datebook and 8-Track Playback) from United Stations Radio Network. He will also focus on his digital platforms, which will include providing content via Donny.com and making his podcasts available from McVay Syndication. The 55-year old also performs nightly in Las Vegas with his sister Marie.
McVay Syndication Founder Mike McVay said, ?Donny Osmond is the consummate entertainer and Donny always delivered a high quality show every day.? Osmond said, ?Radio has always been an influential medium in my career. To have enjoyed hosting my own syndicated show has been a dream come true.?

The guy is a professional performer who doesn't need me to give him that. He's got work.
Trashing that innocuous, patronizing, juvenile approach that was scripted for him and that he was obliged to read only leaves the stations' slots open for another form of milquetoast blather.
Shame on the stations that carried the show - the same ones that will accept some other maudlin replacement.
