WSSX in Charleston has promoted Yonni Rude to PD at WSSX. Rude replaces Mike Edwards who left last month. Rude moves to the position from the APD post on sister station WWWZ/Charleston. Rude began his career at Radio Antilles in the Caribbean when he was only 12 as a part of the pre-teen show Children?s Hour. As an undergrad, he volunteered at NPR station WFSS-FM before he joined Urban mainstream WZFX in Fayetteville, NC, and quickly moved up the ranks to MD/Afternoons.
