The award was given to KUPL-FM The Bull in Portland by the Oregon Association of Broadcasters. KUPL held a benefit concert at Duke?s Bar & Grill on December 22, 2012 to raise funds for families of the Clackamas Town Center shooting victims. American Idol finalist, and local artist, Crystal Bowersox headlined the concert and over $8,000 was collected.

In tragic times, it?s comforting to know that our fellow Oregonians go above and beyond to come together for the greater good. For everyone that helped support this event and cause, I can?t thank you enough. My heart is filled with sadness and appreciation at the same time. It?s powerful to be live and local in the community and have the ability to rally support for a cause like this.?
