Convergence, Radio Tech Summit to Host Mentoring Dinners

 Convergence To Host Mentoring Dinners

Radio Ink Publisher B. Eric Rhoads announces that Radio Ink will launch a new event at Convergence: "Birds of a Feather Mentoring Dinners."

Attendees at the Convergence 2010 and Radio Tech Summits will be provided with several groups they can join as part of informal dinner gatherings with experts in several fields. The groups will meet at a designated restaurant and can choose the topics on which they wish to engage in a deeper dialogue.

"This has become a popular item at a few of the top tech conferences," Rhoads said, "and we wanted to find a way to help people make new contacts and friends and to dig deeper into the subjects of interest to them." The mentoring dinners will be held on Thursday, June 3, for
Radio Ink's Convergence conference, and on June 2 for the special pre-conference Radio TECH Summit with Skip Pizzi.

Sign-ups will be taken at opening day of each conference, and the dinners will be held at area restaurants. Each individual will be responsible for his or her own dinner.

Radio Ink Convergence is the radio industry's digital media conference, designed to assist radio station owners, managers, and interactive managers to develop digital revenue- and audience-building strategies. Keynotes for this year's conference include Guy Kawasaki on marketing social media, Rob Curley on creating hyperlocal portals and what's next for radio online, Jeffrey Eisenberg on why business cannot ignore social media, Mark Ramsey on radio's future, Gordon Borrell on interactive revenues, and Michael Drew on platform-building and how societal change will impact how we run our radio stations and digital offerings. The conference is limited to 250 people and held at the Microsoft Campus in Silicon Valley. Attendees will be given rare access to the employee store for employee pricing on software.

Radio Ink's pre-conference event, the Radio TECH Summit with Skip Pizzi, is designed to bring the radio industry technical community and management together to discuss issues related to tech, the Internet, streaming, and other tech-specific issues.
