Siegel died of a heart attack. He stopped at a convenience store on his way home from the station and collapsed. Paramedics were unable to revive him. Siegel was still working at the age of 73, doing what he loved, spinning oldies at KLDE-FM in Eldorado. Siegel worked at WBAP as one half of ?Hal and Dick? with Hal Jay from 1981 to 2003. He also worked at KLIF.
