On Thursday, Pandora released its latest quarterly revenue figures. For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013, total revenue was $125.1 million, a 54 percent year-over-year increase. Advertising revenue was up 51 percent to $109.0 million. Subscription and other revenue was $16.1 million, a 74 percent increase. For the fiscal year 2013, total revenue was $427.1 million, a jump of 56 percent over the same period one year ago. Advertising revenue was $375.2 million, a 56 percent year-over-year increase. And subscription and other revenue was $51.9 million, a 51 percent year-over-year increase.

I love Pandora. Face it, the music programming is infinitely better than what most local markets offer. HOWEVER, unless you have unlimited data with your phone package you can't afford to use it in your car. It eats up data like you can't believe. And with most phone service providers going away from unlimited data, Pandroa, has well, a huge problem.

And they suffered a quarterly loss of over $14 million, which was over 50% higher than the same quarter last year. Their growth continues to get bigger each year, but so do their losses.
