Congrats to KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO in Southern California for winning a local Gracie Award in the Outstanding Series category for ?Tales of the L.A. Riots,? written and produced by reporter Margaret Carrero (pictured). The 2013 Gracie winners were announced by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation.
?Tales of the L.A. Riots? looked back at the events that fueled the civil unrest that erupted in 1992, marking the 20th anniversary of one of the darkest chapters in Los Angeles history. The Gracies recognize exemplary programming created for women, by women, and about women in all facets of electronic media, as well as individuals who have made contributions to the industry. The winners will be publicly recognized at an industry luncheon on June 26 in New York.
