Renegade Radio Nashville has been named Radio Station of the Year 2013 by the Independent Country Music Association (ICMA). The Internet only station was started in 2011 by broadcasting veterans Captain Jack Aponte and Bob Steele. The station now has listeners from 143 different countries and all 50 states and in is the first Internet radio station to be granted reporting status with Music Row Magazine.
Aponte said, "We work hard to support the independent side of country music and are so honored that others have noticed. There's so much talent that has yet to be discovered - we love our daily opportunities to expose that talent to our listeners and, hopefully, give that artist a shot at significant fan base growth.
