Beasley Sees Revenue Dip In Q1

Beasley Broadcast Group reports revenue of $21.8 million for the first quarter, down 3.2 percent from $22.6 million in Q1 of last year, with the decline largely due to lower revenue in the Miami and Fayetteville clusters. Chairman/CEO George Beasley said, however, that the company saw revenue growth in March.

Nielsen Profit Rises In Q1

The Nielsen Co. reports revenues of 1.2 billion for the first quarter, up 9 percent from $1.1 billion in the same period in 2009. Net income came in at $42 million, up from $5 million in Q1 '09.

Canada's Corus Entertainment has agreed to sell its Quebec stations to Cogeco for about $80 million CDN.

AP Revenues, Profits Fall In '09

Associated Press saw revenue decline by nearly 10 percent last year, the news service reports, with net income at $8.8 million, down from $25.1 million in 2009.
