The FCC has put out a request for quotes on nine economic studies to look at the state of the media industry as part of the commission's 2010 quadrennial ownership-rules review. One study will look at "the impact of local media market structure on consumer satisfaction with available broadcast radio and television service." The commission also wants information on the effect of the local media market structure on radio and TV news, civic knowledge and engagement, and "viewpoint diversity." |
