Simmons Buys Three In SLC

Simmons Media Group has agreed to buy Rhythmic KUUU (U-92), Top 40 KUDD (Mix), and Triple A KYLZ (The Point) in Salt Lake City and other assets from Millcreek Broadcasting. Simmons already has four in the market, so some stations will go into a divestiture trust.

The Federal Election Commission has unanimously ruled that Republican Senate candidate JD Hayworth's show on KFYI/Phoenix did not amount to an in-kind campaign contribution from Clear Channel, the Arizona Republic reports. Hayworth was not an announced candidate when his show was on the air.
