Cumulus Made $2.1 Billion Bid For CitadelCumulus Media confirms that it was indeed the bidder for Citadel Broadcasting whose offers -- the second adding up to $2.1 billion -- were twice rejected by the Citadel board. In a letter to the Citadel board, Cumulus Chairman/CEO Lew Dickey reiterates the offer and writes, "We do not understand why you have been unwilling to engage with us to explore such a transaction and to consider its benefits to Citadel and its shareholders."
