FCC Commissioner Meredith Attwell Baker told the Practising Law Institute's 28th annual Institute on Telecommunications Policy & Regulation in DC this week that the FCC's plans to adopt "net neutrality" regulations this week will have the commission action against the will of the courts and Congress, and expressed concern that the FCC is becoming "increasingly unmoored from our statutory authority." Baker also said the net neutrality plan proposed by FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski is "the wrong policy to drive more investment, jobs, and opportunity into our Internet economy." |
