Dan Mason: Radio Ink's 2010 Executive of the Year

Radio Ink's Executive Of The Year: Dan Mason

Radio Ink is pleased to name CBS Radio President/CEO Dan Mason our 2010 Executive of the Year.

"Dan Mason has led CBS Radio through the past couple of years and back to strong growth by focusing intently on its strengths while aggressively innovating," Radio Ink Publisher/CEO Eric Rhoads said. "We're happy to name him Radio Ink's Executive of the Year."
Mason is known for an approach that's all about energy, a laser focus on growth, and a strong local spirit. He's in his second stint heading up CBS Radio; he led the company as president from 1995-2002 -- successfully integrating the original CBS, Group W, Infinity Radio and American Radio Systems stations -- and returned as president and CEO in 2007.
Mason is also the featured cover interview in the January 3 issue of Radio Ink, talking about digital initiatives, what he sees for the future in radio, and what's going right at CBS Radio.
Radio Ink's Radio Executive of the Year honors a top executive who exemplifies the values that are vital to the growth and success of radio, demonstrating both outstanding leadership and a spirit of innovation. Past honorees have included Bonneville International President/CEO Bruce Reese, ICBC Broadcast Holdings President/COO Charles Warfield, WBEB/Philadelphia owner Jerry Lee, Emmis Communications President/CEO Jeff Smulyan, and Entercom President/CEO David Field.
