Clear Channel Renews With Arbitron

Clear Channel Radio has signed a new multi-year deal for Arbitron's PPM and diary ratings, covering all Clear Channel Radio markets through 2016. The new agreement replaces CCR's current contract, which otherwise would have expired at the end of next year.

Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI) has been confimed to chair the powerful Committee on Energy and Commerce, which oversees the FCC. Upton said in a statement after his confirmation, "The administration's rampant spending and unfettered, two-year assault on the health, energy, and telecommunications sectors is now over."
