In a CNET review, Steve Guttenberg says HD Radio sounds "better than satellite, Internet, or analog AM and FM radio". He also mentions HD Radio is free, unlike digital satellite radio. There is a cost for the radios; the Insignia NS-HD01 ($50) portable HD Radio's sound quality is a big step up from most mini radios, according to Guttenberg.
