When he heard what his Montana Radio stations had done he was not surprised at all. Townsquare Chairman and CEO Steven Price said, "I'm thrilled that our team in Montana came up with such an innovative concept to help the local community." Veteran CBS Radio News Anchor Jack Popejoy Dies

Popejoy was only 63. He anchored the morning news program on KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO Los Angeles along with Dick Helton and Vicky Moore since February 2009. He continued to work on-air until late January. From 1986 - 2009 he worked at sister station KFWB, where he served as the morning news anchor since 2000.
 

Dick Broadcasting Founder James Dick Dies

WIVK Radio and Dick Broadcasting founder James A. Dick died Sunday afternoon following a lengthy illness. Dick started Dick Broadcasting and WIVK Radio in 1953 with a commitment to community service that exists to this day. Dick not only helped launch careers of several broadcasting legends, he was a community leader, founder of charities, and a tireless supporter of several community endeavors in Knoxville.
