Following the Clear Channel quarterly conference call today, Mark Mays sent an e-mail to all Clear Channel employees letting them know that he will be out in less than 60 days. And with a New Year well underway, on the road to a new financing that secures Clear Channel's near term outlook, and a leadership team that has positioned the company for growth, I've determined that now is THE right time for me to follow through on the commitment I made to my family and myself and step back from daily management of the company. I've informed the Board that by March 31 I will retire as President and CEO of Clear Channel -- news which was announced today along with our Fourth Quarter earnings". |

That's got to be good news for the industry as Clear Channel attributed the growth to "local and national revenues on improved rates". Clear Channel reported that revenue increased $162 million in Q4. Mark Mays said Clear Channel benefited from "a recovering global economy, increasing revenues and improved margins". He said cash flows were "healthy" in 2010. |
