With the Buckley sale to Clear Channel pending in New York City, another major market will lose an independent operator. It's no easy task trying to succeed in major markets against clusters able to deliver more listeners by bundling stations against you. The outspoken and colorful Saul Levine owns an AM and an FM in Los Angeles. Many of our readers know Levine is vehemently opposed to consolidation. So you may find it surprising that he approves of the Clear Channel purchase of WOR.
