89.3 WFPL News has been selected as a contributor to "Here & Now," a nationally syndicated, live, midday radio news program produced by WBUR/Boston and National Public Radio (NPR). The new "Here & Now" Contributors Network will utilize select public radio stations across the country to deepen the program's breadth of coverage and diversity of perspectives. Fifteen stations were chosen to enter the network based on their interest, location, and journalistic strength.
"I'm very pleased that our Louisville-based stories on arts, politics, environment, and education, and well as the output of our new investigative reporting center, will now be distributed on a national platform on a regular basis," said Donovan Reynolds, president of Louisville Public Media. "WFPL's selection is a real tribute to the work that Gabe Bullard and his entire team have done to expand our news effort."
