Bonneville Seattle announced the addition of The Tom and Curley Show from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. weekdays on KIRO-FM. The new show will be hosted by Northwest media personality John Curley (right), and veteran pop-culture enthusiast Tom Tangney.
PD Pete Gammell said, ?The partnership between John and Tom is electric and we?re excited to offer our audience such a great program to keep them informed and connected to Seattle. Curley said of his new partner, ?Tom is the brother-in-law I always wanted to have, a guy I can argue with sometimes and laugh with almost all the time." Tangney added, ?I have a blast talking with John Curley three hours a day. I hope and trust listeners will find our show as fun and invigorating as I do.?
John Curley is one of the most recognized personalities in the Northwest after hosting nearly 4,000 shows during a 14-year span as the host of KING-TV?s Evening Magazine. Tom Tangney started at KIRO Radio in 1994 after serving as a document analyst for the Washington state attorney general?s office. Tom also worked as a movie theatre manager and projectionist, and became one of the most highly sought after movie critics in America. He is still a proud member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
