The Public Radio Program Directors Association has named Jody Evans president and chief executive officer. Evans is currently president and CEO of Western North Carolina Public Radio, which operates WCQS-FM in Asheville. Prior to WCQS, Evans was a programmer at Vermont Public Radio and KUT, Austin. She was also a PRPD board member from 2005-2009. Her term as president and CEO begins January 1. Evans succeeds Arthur Cohen who is retiring after eight years at the PRPD helm and a decades-long career in public broadcasting.
