Big Radio closed on the purchase of radio station WGEZ-AM in Beloit, Wisconsin, on January 1. Purchase price was $150,000, cash. Big Radio owns stations in Rockford, Freeport, and Lena, Illinois as well as Evansville and Monroe, Wisconsin. Curtis Media also closed on the purchase of its Raleigh-area translator construction permit for FM Translator W227CU (now W228CZ) in Cary, NC, from Juan Alberto Ayala. The purchase price was $150,000.
