Following last week's on-air promo that "WMCA New York's Christian Talk, will be no more," this morning WMCA/NY has been rebranded to The Mission. Phil Boyce-VP/director, Spoken Word Format tells Radio Ink, "After 25 years as New York's Christian Talk we decided to give WMCA a new brand name. We are now AM 570 The Mission. The brand name before was just the call letters WMCA, and while we will still use them, we think this new name is a great identifier with who and what we are."
Boyce continues, "If you are going to say your name 100 times a day, it should mean something and tell listeners who and what you are."
