Radio One introduced its One VIP card, a reloadable prepaid credit card from American Express Serve, nine months ago. To help promote what Radio One calls a "money management tool and the need for financial empowerment amongst women," the media company will be holding a series of Women's Empowerment Expos between April and October.
The Expos are being hosted this year in seven markets throughout the country: Raleigh (April 18), Indianapolis (May 2), Detroit (August 15), Cincinnati (September 26), Richmond (October 17), and Cleveland (October 25). Each city's expo will include a pavilion for registered One VIP card members to receive giveaways and meet a celebrity.
