Two CBC executives who were supposed to be managing the former CBC radio host were fired after an internal report revealed Ghomeshi was the "de facto" boss of his own radio show at the CBC, where he created an "intimidating, humiliating, hostile and offensive work environment." The Hollywood Reporter says Director of Radio Chris Royce and Executive Director Todd Spencer are both gone. The report says management received complaints about Ghomeshi from employees on at least three occasions. Ghomeshi is facing an upcoming criminal trial for sexual assault.
He faces eight counts of sexual assault and choking charges following a police investigation that began when several young women came forward with claims of sexual assault and abuse, including unwanted beatings, during dates with Ghomeshi.
