Townsquare Media says Executive Vice President, Business Development and Mergers & Acquisitions Alex Berkett (pictured) is leaving the company at the end of July to pursue an opportunity at a large-cap media company. Townsquare CEO Steven Price said, "Alex has been invaluable to our Company and to me during his more than five year tenure at Townsquare. We thank Alex for his contributions and wish him well in his new position. Berkett co-founded Townsquare in May 2010. Berkett has also worked in J.P. Morgan's Technology, Media & Telecom Investment Banking Group, and he spent 11 years in the investment banking division of Bear Stearns, most recently as a Managing Director, focused on mergers and acquisitions for media and entertainment.
