Cumulus Goes Back to Classic Hit on WOMG, Columbia.  The company's Columbia, South Carolina signal at 98.5 drops the almost two-year-old NASH Icon format and launches a classic hits station.  It brings company personality Benji Norton from sister sports talker WNKT "1075 The Game" over to host the "Breakfast with womgBenji" morning show.  Station operations manager Brent Johnson says, "From 1989 to 2014, the call letters WOMG have been synonymous with classic hit music.  In 2016, we are so excited to bring WOMG back and play the music our listeners have been begging us to play.  So many of these songs and artists have not been played in Columbia in years."  Cumulus Media Columbia VP/market manager Rick Prusator adds, "Benji Norton is a household name in Columbia radio.  After nine years of anchoring the morning show on our sports station, "1075 The Game," Benji moves back to the music he played the first time around.  And he is thrilled to get to do it again.  Also, the return of 'Breakfast With Benji' is proof of the commitment of Cumulus Media in Columbia to live and local radio."
