With the new handle – "ALT 92.9 Boston's Alternative" – comes a new clock providing hour-long music blocks. Greater Media says it is solidifying "the alternative music position on WBOS-FM by rebranding the station as 'ALT 92.9' in Boston. WBOS program director Ken West says, "We are passionate about delivering our content in a non-cluttered, non-controversial, pure play music environment by playing the most music. In doing so, we are offering the ALT 92.9 Promise: 60 Minutes of Music after every commercial break." Station marketing director Sean Doherty adds, "The station's new branding, image and logo will exemplify the fresh programming of 'ALT 92.9' and appeal to the active lifestyle of our audience."
