Nielsen MeterPPM Data – Round Two. June 2016 ratings information has been released for Washington (D.C.), Boston, Detroit, Miami, Seattle, Phoenix, Minneapolis, San Diego, Tampa, Denver, Baltimore, and St. Louis. Nielsen Audio's June 2016 survey period covered May 19 – June 15. RadioInfo managing editor Mike Kinosian (Kinosian@RadioInfo.com) provides his "Takeaways" from all of these PPM-markets.
TWELVE TAKEAWAYS
1) Washington, D.C. – Although unchanged at #7, iHeartMedia classic rocker WBIG has its fourth successive WBIGsweep without a decrease (3.8 – 3.8 – 3.8 – 4.2 – 4.3, 6+) and the best 6+-performance for "Big 100" since September's 4.5. Steady at #5, CHR cluster-mate WIHT "Hot 99.5" follows back-to-back dips (5.3 – 5.1 – 4.5, 6+) with consecutive gains (4.5 – 4.7 – 5.1, 6+). Locked on 2.7 (6+) in AprilWIHT and May, alternative sibling WWDC "DC-101" gains one-tenth to 2.8, inching up from #17 to #16 (6+). Meanwhile co-owned adult contemporary WASH remains at #6 but is without an increase for the third straight time (5.5 – 5.2 – 4.4 – 4.4, 6+) for a combined -1.1; 4.4 is its lowest 6+-stat since September 2014's 4.3. With a .4 in five of the last seven sweeps (and a .6 the other two), Alpha Media's WFLS "Today's New Country 93.3" doubles May's .4 to .8 and checks in at #21 (6+). The market's pacesetter for the sixth straight sweep, Hubbard Broadcasting-owned all-news WTOP repeats May's 10.3, the station's most potent 6+-share in over five years (10.6, March 2011). Before dropping from first to second in the "Holiday" 2015 sweep, WTOP occupied the top spot the previous 12 ratings periods. American University's WAMU (8.5 – 8.1, -.4, 6+) is #2 for the sixth consecutive time; "The Mind Is Our Medium" was -1.2 in March and +.7 in May. Off a combined eight-tenths in four straight down or flat trends (4.7 – 4.3 – 4.1 – 4.1 – 3.9, 6+), CBS Radio rhythmic CHR WPGC-FM continues in eighth-place. After being stuck on 2.9 in February and March and then on 2.6 (6+) in April and May, Cumulus Media hot AC WRQX "Mix 107.3" slips to 2.5 but is steady at #18 (6+).
2) Boston – Not only is Greater Media-owned WROR "Boston's Classic Hits" on top for the sixth successive monthly, it registers a WROR+.6 to 8.3, the strongest 6+-share in the station's PPM-history. Adult contemporary sibling WMJX "Magic 106.7" (second for the third consecutive sweep) logs an increase for the fifth straight ratings period for a cumulative +1.2 (6.3 – 6.5 – 6.8 – 7.2 – 7.3 – 7.5,WMJX 6+). Suffering loses of six-tenths each are CBS Radio cluster-mates (news-talk hybrid) WBZ-AM (steady at #5, 6+) and WBZ-FM "The Sports Hub" (4.3, sixth to seventh, 6+). It is the fifth straight sweep without an increase for WBZ-AM (6.4 – 6.2 – 6.0 – 6.0 – 5.6 – 5.0, 6+), which is -1.4 in that stretch; "The Sports Hub" had not had a decrease in the last three ratings periods (4.7 – 4.7 – 4.8 – 4.9, 6+). Off by one-half share to 3.9 (seventh to eighth, 6+) is CHR sibling WODS "Amp Radio," whose string of successive monthlies without a loss ends at three (3.8 – 4.1 – 4.1 – 4.4, 6+). Format rival – iHeartMedia's WXKS-FM was frozen on 7.0 (6+) in February and March; sputtered by one full-share in April; bounced back with a +.7 in May; and picks up two-tenths in June (7.0 – 7.0 – 6.0 – 6.7 – 6.9, 6+); "Kiss-FM" finishes in third-place for the third successive time. In back-to-back sweeps (April and May), WBUR eroded by a combined -1.7 (5.1 – 4.0 – 3.4, 6+) but the Boston University station halts the mini-slide with a +.2 to 3.6 (6+) to remain at #12. The -1.1 WBUR recorded in April ended three straight increases (4.1 – 4.4 – 4.7 – 5.1, 6+). Also in the public arena, this marks the fourth successive sweep that WGBH-FM (#14 to #15) is without an increase (3.8 – 3.8 – 3.0 – 2.9 – 2.6, 6+). In four successive downward trends, co-owned classical WCRB (#19 to #20) has lost a total of one-half share (2.3 – 2.1 – 2.0 – 1.9 – 1.8, 6+). Sliding from ninth to tenth is CBS Radio's WZLX "Classic Rock 100.7," which is down or flat for the fourth straight time (4.4 – 4.4 – 3.9 – 3.8 – 3.7, 6+).
3) Detroit – Applying the brakes to four straight sweeps without an increase (4.7 – 4.2 – 3.9 – 3.9 – 3.8, 6+), Cumulus Media hot WDVDAC WDVD "96.3 Today's Best Hits" trots out a +.9 and is back at 4.7 (#13 to #11, 6+). Co-owned talker WJR declines for the third successive sweep. Going back to September 2015 when it recorded a 4.3 (#12, 6+), WJR has had fluctuations of +.7, +.8, flat (in December), -1.0, +.8, +.2, +.9, -5, -.9, and now in June -.2 (5.1, #5 to #8). InWRIF March, WJR notched a 6.7, which is the station's best ever 6+-stat. After four straight sweeps without an increase (6.1 – 5.9 – 5.8 – 5.6 – 5.6, 6+), Greater Media's WRIF "Everything That Rocks" adds one-tenth to jump from fourth to second. Although it slips from #16 to #17, University of Michigan-owned WUOM has its sixth successive monthly without a decline (1.3 – 1.7 – 2.3 – 2.4 – 2.6 – 2.7 – 2.7, 6+), more than doubling its 6+-share in that timeframe. Prior to June, the six most recent trends for WDTW "106.7 The D" were an extremely consistent 3.1 – 3.2 – 3.2 – 3.2 – 3.2 – 3.1 (6+), but now the iHeartMedia classic rocker posts a +.3 to 3.4 to inch up from #15 to #14. Following slight decreases in February and March (5.9 – 5.5 – 5.2, 6+), CBS Radio-owned WXYT-FM "97.1 The Ticket" erupted with a +1.3 in April; added eight-tenths in May; but drops one-tenth in June (6.5 – 7.3 – 7.2, 6+). Nonetheless, the Detroit Tigers flagship finishes first for the third straight time. Unchanged at #7, cluster-mate WWJ is a combined -2.6 since January (7.8 – 7.6 – 6.5 – 5.7 – 5.2 – 5.2, 6+); the all-news operation had been the market leader (6+) in January and February.
4) Miami – Off in consecutive sweeps (April and May) by a combined eight-tenths (4.6 – 4.0 – 3.8, 6+), Univision Radio WRTOSpanish tropical WRTO "Mix 98.3" recaptures the bulk of it with a +.7 to 4.5, cruising from ninth to sixth. The combination of a one-half share gain by Cox Media Group urban AC WHQT "Hot 105" (7.7 – 8.2, 6+) and a three-tenths loss by Entercom adult contemporary WLYF "Lite FM" (8.2 – 7.9, 6+) results in the twoWHQT trading places at #1 and #2. "Lite FM," which lost one-half share in May, had been on top the past four sweeps; "Hot" was #2 all four of those times. In April, "Lite" was up six-tenths to 8.7, its strongest 6+-share in almost six years (9.4, May 2010). For the sixth successive ratings period, iHeartMedia classic rocker WBGG "Big 105.9" (#13 to #12) either is up or flat (2.6 – 2.8 – 2.8 – 2.8 – 3.0 – 3.2 – 3.7, 6+), and mirroring "Hot," "Big 105.9" displays an increase of one-half share. Underscoring the tight nature of the market's CHR battle, Cox Media Group's WFLC "Hits 97.3" (+.1, unchanged at #10, 6+) and iHeartMedia's WHYI "Y-100 (+.4, #11 in May) are tied at #10, each with a 3.8 (6+). "Hits 97.3" posted a +.5 in April to curtail three straight downward trends (3.3 – 3.2 – 2.9 – 2.8, 6+). Over the last 12 head-to-head showdowns (including June 2016), "Y-100" has emerged on top eight times; "Hits 97.3" three times; and the two are tied in June. The 6+-averages though in those 12 ratings periods are extremely close with "Y-100" at 3.72 and "Hits 97.3" at 3.45. Up or flat the past three sweeps for a combined +.8 (4.1 – 4.6 – 4.6 – 4.9, 6+), Spanish Broadcasting System tropical WXDJ "El Zol 106.7" relinquishes 75% of that gain with a -.6 to 4.3, sliding from sixth to eighth. Also off by six-tenths is iHeartMedia Spanish contemporary WMGE "Mega 94.9" (3.2 – 2.6, #13 to #15, 6+). Sputtering by one-half share (5.0 – 4.5, 6+), Cox Media Group urban contemporary WEDR "99 Jamz" drops from fifth to sixth. Co-owned adult contemporary WFEZ "Easy 93.1" (6.3 – 6.4, +.1, 6+) is ranked third for the fifth successive sweep.
5) Seattle – Climbing from third to second, Bonneville talker KIRO-FM racks up a +.9 to 5.8, its strongest 6+-stat since last KIRO-FMDecember's 6.1. An increase of eight-tenths to 3.8 (6+) propels CBS Radio adult hits KJAQ "Jack-FM" from #17 into the top ten (#9). Seattle's version of "Jack" was down one-half share in May to 3.0, its weakest 6+performance since a 2.2 in the "Holiday" 2013 report. Steady at #8, Entercom rhythmic hot AC KHTP "Hot 103.7" is up or flat for the fifth time in a row (2.8 – 3.1 – 3.1 – 3.6 – 4.1 – 4.1, 6+).KJAQ In May, Hubbard Broadcasting CHR KQMV notched a +.2 to halt three straight downward sweeps that accounted for a combined -1.7 (7.7 – 7.6 – 6.9 – 6.0, 6+). Albeit down one-tenth to 6.1 (6+), "MOViN 92.5 – All The Hits" ranks first for the sixth consecutive sweep. The third straight decrease by KCMS-FM "Spirit 105.3" is by nine-tenths (3.5 – 3.3 – 3.2 – 2.3, 6+) as the Crista Media contemporary Christian spirals from #12 to #20. There is bad news for stations with the KJR calls as iHeartMedia classic hits-oldies KJR-FM "95.7 The Jet" flounders by seven-tenths (6.1 – 5.3, #3, 6+), while KJR-AM "Seattle Sports Radio 950 AM" declines by six-tenths (2.2 – 1.6, #24, 6+). "The Jet" had occupied the runner-up slot the past four ratings periods; 6.1 in May was its strongest 6+-share since September's 6.5. Classical KING is without an increase for the fifth successive time (3.5 – 3.1 – 2.9 – 2.9 – 2.6 – 1.9, 6+) and falls out of the top 20 (#19 to #22). In 4.0 – 4.5 range for the sixth straight sweep including a 4.0 three times (4.0 – 4.1 – 4.0 – 4.3 – 4.0 – 4.5, 6+), CBS Radio country outlet KMPS slips from ninth to tenth.
6) Phoenix – After regressing by one-half share in May, iHeartMedia adult hits KYOT "95.5 The Mountain" gets it all KYOTback and one-tenth more (4.2 – 3.7 – 4.3, +.6, 6+) and returns to the top ten (#11 to #8); "The Mountain" was down by one full-share in April. Also registering a +.6 is Entravision Spanish adult hits KVVA "Jose" (1.5 – 2.1, #21, 6+). Improving by one-half share is "Jose" rival – Univision Radio-owned KOMR "106.3 Mas Variedad" (2.0 – 2.5,KVVA 6+, which is part of a massive five-station tie-up at #14. In addition to "Mas Variedad," public classical KBAQ improves by one-half share as well (1.5 – 2.0, #22, 6+). This is the fourth straight increase for CBS Radio's KMLE "Country@107.9" (sixth to fifth) for a cumulative +1.9 (3.1 – 3.6 – 4.0 – 4.9 – 5.0, 6+). Despite a loss of six-tenths to 7.5 (6+), which ends a streak of three straight sweeps without a loss (7.1 – 7.7 – 7.7 – 8.1, 6+), iHeartMedia adult contemporary KESZ is #1 for the 21st successive ratings period. Following a one-half share gain in May, Farmworker Educational Radio regional Mexican KNAI "88.3 La Campesina" relinquishes all of it plus three-tenths (2.8 – 3.3 – 2.5, -.8, 6+) to fall from #12 to #14. Locked on 5.7 (6+) in March and April, Hubbard Broadcasting-owned KUPD "Arizona's Real Rock" dipped by one-tenth in May, and like KNAI, it declines by eight-tenths (5.6 – 4.8, 6+), skidding from fourth to sixth. Floundering by one-half share each are classic rock sibling KSLX (6.4, 6+) and CBS Radio classic hits-oldies KOOL (6.0 – 5.5, 6+); the two stations are unchanged at #2 and #3, respectively. It is the first time in the last five sweeps that KSLX has had a decrease (5.8 – 5.9 – 6.1 – 6.1 – 6.5 – 6.9, 6+). KOOL was +.7 in May and -1.2 in March. Down two-tenths to 3.9 (6+) and flat at #9, Bonneville talker KTAR-FM has its consecutive string of progressive trends end at five (3.1 – 3.3 – 3.4 – 3.5 – 4.0 – 4.1, 6+). This is the tenth straight sweep that Entravision regional Mexican KLNZ (2.9 – 2.5, -.4, steady at #14, 6+) is in 2.0 – 2.9 territory. Meanwhile, Univision Radio's similarly programmed KHOT (#16 to #20), which was up or flat the past five sweeps for a net gain of two-tenths (2.3 – 2.4 – 2.5 – 2.5 – 2.5 – 2.5, 6+), is off three-tenths to 2.2 (6+).
7) Minneapolis – Although unchanged at #4, Cumulus Media-owned KQRS flaunts a +.9 to 7.1, the strongest 6+-share for KQRS"Minnesota's Classic Rock" since last November's 7.2. Steady at #2, iHeartMedia classic hits-oldies station KQQL continues to post wild month-to-month fluctuations. Its 6+-trends since last July have been +.9; -1.0; flat; -1.0; +1.2; +8.0; -9.9; +.5; +.9;KQQL -1.3; +.6 in May; and now +.7 in June (8.4 – 9.3 – 8.3 – 8.3 – 7.3 – 8.5 – 16.5 – 6.6 – 7.1 – 8.0 – 6.7 – 7.3 – 8.0, 6+). Also notching a +.7 (6.9 – 7.6, 6+) is CHR sibling KDWB "The Twin Cities" #1 Hit Music Station," which continues at #3. Frozen at 9.8 (6+) the past three sweeps, Hubbard Broadcasting hot AC KSTP-FM sputters by seven-tenths to 9.1 (6+), but is #1 for the sixth consecutive time. Prior to a -.4 in March, "KS-95" amassed a +3.4 in January and a +.5 in February, which guided it to 10.2, the best-ever 6+share in its PPM-history. January's +3.4 halted four straight dips by "KS-95" which had resulted in a combined -2.1 (8.4 – 8.3 – 8.0 – 7.9 – 6.3, 6+). Unchanged at #6, iHeartMedia's similarly programmed KTCZ "The Cities" registers its sixth straight sweep without a decrease for a combined +1.6 (3.9 – 4.8 – 4.9 – 5.0 – 5.0 – 5.5 – 5.5, 6+); 5.5 (May and June) is the station's best 6+-number since July's 6.0. A massive -1.0 (5.4 – 4.4, 6+) sinks cluster-mate KFXN  to its lowest 6+-share since last July's 4.2; "KFAN Sports Radio FM 100.3" drops out of the top ten (#7 to #11). Following a -.4 in April, noncommercial contemporary Christian KTIS-FM regressed by one-half share in May and now falters by an additional seven-tenths (5.9 – 5.5 – 5.0 – 4.3, 6+); it departs the top ten as well (#10 to #12). Having had seven successive sweeps without a decrease (3.5 – 3.6 – 3.7 – 3.7 – 4.0 – 4.4 – 4.6 – 5.1, 6+), American Public Media Group's KNOW was off three-tenths in May and now regresses by another one-half share (4.8 – 4.3, 6+), dropping from #11 to #12.
8) San Diego – On the heels of a one-half share gain in May, public (San Diego State University) KPBS adds seven-tenths KPBSto jump from sixth to fourth (3.8 – 4.3 – 5.0, 6+), recording its best 6+-share since February 2015 (5.3). Not only does iHeartMedia hot AC KMYI enjoy its fifth straight positive trend for a combined +1.7 (4.9 – 5.2 – 5.4 – 5.5 – 6.0 – 6.6, 6+), "Star 94.1" advances from second-place to #1, a position it last held nearly a year ago (July 2015).KMYI With a -.1 to 4.4 (fifth to seventh, 6+), format foe, CBS Radio's KYXY, has its string of three straight improvements halted (3.1 – 3.4 – 3.5 – 4.5, 6+). Displaced from the penthouse after four successive monthlies is Entercom adult contemporary KXSN "Sunny 98.1" (formerly KIFM), which tumbles by a mighty -1.1 (6.6 – 5.5, 6+) and takes over in the runner-up slot vacated by "Star." The 6.6 that "Sunny" notched in April and May is the highest 6+-share in the frequency's PPM-history. Owing to a +.2 to 3.2 (#16 to #15, 6+), iHeartMedia's KIOZ "Rock 105.3" ends a streak of seven consecutive down or flat trends that produced a combined -1.3 (4.3 – 4.2 – 4.0 – 3.5 – 3.5 – 3.3 – 3.2 – 3.0, 6+). Down or flat for the third consecutive time (5.5 – 5.1 – 5.1 – 4.6, 6+), urban-rhythmic oldies XHRM "Magic 92.5 The Beat of San Diego" dips from fourth to fifth. For the 12th straight time, KOGO has a 6+-share between 3.1 – 3.8 (3.1 – 3.5, +.4, 6+) and the iHeartMedia talker inches up from #14 to #12.
9) Tampa – Off a combined eight-tenths in April and May (5.7 – 5.5 – 4.9, 6+), Cox Media Group's WXGL "Classic Hits 107.3 WXGLThe Eagle" recovers all of it and then some with a whopping +1.2 to 6.1, matching what it registered last August. "The Eagle" soars from fifth to second. Both of the market's FM mainstream CHR outlets post increases of seven-tenths. Specifically, iHeartMedia's WFLZ leaps from ninth to fifth (4.4 –WFLZ 5.1, 6+) with its best 6+-showing since December (also 5.1), while Cox Media Group's WPOI "Hot 101.5 All the Hits" (3.7 – 4.4, 6+) returns to the top ten (#11 to #9). These same two companies have Tampa Bay's primary FM country properties locked in a sixth-place tie (each with a 4.8, 6+). Sputtering by nine-tenths, Beasley Media Group's WQYK "New Country Hits" was third in May; iHeartMedia-owned WFUS "US-103.5" was stuck on 4.6 (6+) in February in March and then on 4.7 (6+) in April and May. Following three progressive trends in which it nearly doubled its 6+ numbers, WUSF faltered by -.7 in April; erased that loss with a +.7 in May; and adds one-half share in June (1.9 – 2.8 – 3.5 – 3.7 – 3.0 – 3.7 – 4.2, 6+); the University of South Florida-owned facility remains at #11. Notwithstanding it is down by seven-tenths (11.0 – 10.3, 6+), this marks the 44th successive sweep that Cox Media Group adult contemporary WDUV is #1. In addition, "Lite Favorites" registers double-digits (6+) for the seventh time in a row. Over the course of eight successive monthlies without an increase (5.0 – 4.6 – 4.3 – 4.2 – 4.2 – 3.9 – 3.4 – 2.9 – 2.5, 6+), iHeartMedia talker WFLA has lost exactly 50% of its 6+-share, yet manages to move from #17 to #16. Notching a +.6 in January; an additional full-share increase in February; and another one-half share in March, urban contemporary sibling WBTP is now off for the third straight monthly (4.2 – 4.8 – 5.8 – 6.3 – 6.2 – 6.1 – 5.9, 6+), as "The Beat" slides to third after four straight appearances in the runner-up slot. Following back-to-back 3.5 (6+) performances, sports cluster-mate/Tampa Bay Rays flagship WDAE declines by seven-tenths to 2.8 but remains at #15.
10) Denver – A blistering +1.4 (4.2 – 5.6, 6+) propels iHeartMedia alternative KTCL from ninth to third. This is the KTCLmost potent 6+-share for "Modern Rock Channel 93-3" since last September's 5.8. Frozen on 4.1 (6+) in April and May, triple A sibling KBCO erupts with a +.7 to 4.8, its best 6+-share since November (4.8 as well) and "World Class Rock 97.3" marches from tenth to sixth. InKBCO a bit of an oddity, the market's top three finishers all post gains of six tenths. Following three straight downward trends (6.3 – 6.2 – 5.5 – 4.9, 6+), Entercom-owned classic rock KQMT "The Mountain" dialed up a +1.5 in February; added another one-half share in March; lost two-tenths in April; wiped that out with a +.3 in May; and is +.6 in June (6.4 – 6.9 – 6.7 – 7.0 – 7.6, 6+); "The Mountain" is #1 for the fifth successive sweep. On the heels of May's +.9, KSE Radio Ventures' classic hits-oldies KXKL "Kool 105" adds six-tenths (4.8 – 5.7 – 6.3, 6+) to repeat at #2. It is the third straight improvement for Bonneville-owned KYGO (4.6 – 4.8 – 5.0 – 5.6, 6+) and strongest 6+-showing since September's 5.7; "Denver's #1 For New Country" advances from fourth to third. Albeit that it is flat at 4.1 and steady at #10 (6+), KSE Radio Ventures' hot AC KIMN "Mix 100.3" bypasses its format competitor, Entercom's KALC "Alice 105.9," which – with a -.9 (4.3 – 3.4, 6+) – plummets from the top ten (#7 to #12). Prior to May's -.3, "Mix 100" put together four straight progressive trends that yielded a +1.8 (2.6 – 3.2 – 3.5 – 3.6 – 4.4, 6+); "Alice" had turned in consecutive up-trends (3.7 – 4.1 – 4.3, 6+). With a one-half share increase in May, Bonneville's KKFN bounced back to stymie three straight negative trends that yielded a net loss of one full-share (4.5 – 4.2 – 3.8 – 3.5, 6+). "Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan," however, forfeits more than twice that gain (4.0 – 2.9, -1.1, 6+) to slump from #12 to #15. The "seven-tenths-intensive" adventure is back for KCFR, which freefalls from fifth to tenth. The Colorado Public Radio outlet was +.7 in January; -.7 in February; +.7 in March; -.7 in April; -.1 in May; and is now -.7 in June (4.9 – 5.6 – 4.9 – 5.6 – 4.9 – 4.8 – 4.1, 6+). Following three straight sweeps without a loss (3.4 – 3.4 – 3.6 – 3.9, 6+), iHeartMedia talker/Colorado Rockies flagship KOA drops one-half share to 3.4 (6+), yet actually improves from #13 to #12.
11) Baltimore – Boasting the largest (6+) May 2016 – June 2016 increase of any station in the 24 PPM-markets whose data has WWIN-FMbeen released thus far (a +1.6) is Radio One urban AC WWIN-FM, which is truly on an epic roll. In four straight increases "Magic 95.9" is a combined +3.7 (6.1 – 6.5 – 7.1 – 8.2 – 9.8, 6+) and progresses from second to first. Bumped from the top spot and moving to second-place is urbanWZFT contemporary sibling WERQ "92-Q," which ironically has not had a decrease in the last four sweeps (6.9 – 7.3 – 8.3 – 8.3 – 8.4, 6+). Climbing from eighth to seventh, iHeartMedia CHR WZFT "Z-104.3" improves by one-half share (4.4 – 4.9, 6+). Although unchanged at #13, Hearst Television talker WBAL posts a +.2 to 2.8 (6+), thus curtailing four successive sweeps without an increase for a combined -1.7 (4.3 – 3.9 – 3.8 – 2.6 – 2.6, 6+). After a gain of one-half share, CBS Radio hot AC WWMX "Mix 106.5" returns all of it and three-tenths more as it slips from sixth to eighth (4.8 – 5.3 – 4.5, -.8, 6+); it is the lowest 6+-share for "Mix" since "Holiday" 2014 (4.5 as well). Owing to a -.3 in April, "Mix" ended three successive up-trends (4.6 – 4.7 – 4.8 – 5.1, 6+). In five successive downward trends, Peter & John Radio Fellowship contemporary Christian WRBS-FM has eroded by 2.5 shares (5.7 – 5.6 – 4.4 – 4.2 – 3.9 – 3.2, 6+) and "95.1 Shine" exits the top ten (#10 to #12). Following May's +.6, iHeartMedia-owned WPOC "Baltimore's New Country" is off by that precise amount (7.1 – 7.7 – 7.1, 6+) and moves from third to fourth.
12) St. Louis – This is the first PPM market of the 24 analyzed thus far where two stations have improved their May 2016 6+-KSHEstats by at least one full-share.
