The Confidential Effect
Why radio group heads will be more candid in this environment
Imagine how difficult your life would be if you had to guard every word you spoke. When you run a public company, your words can drive your stock up or down, or can even violate SEC regulations. It's no wonder CEOs tend to be careful of every word when there is press present. And, frankly, it's hard to learn anything when people are on their guard. Why radio group heads will be more candid in this environment
You're about to hear one of the most frank conversations you'll ever hear, where radio group heads feel they can speak freely because they know there is no press in the room, no recordings, and no streaming, at Radio Ink's Forecast, on December 7 in New York.
We give them our word, and every year we reject press applications and our own press crew know they cannot report on the off-the-record remarks. Join our largest group session yet, with seven group heads (plus you'll see another in a keynote and several others on other panels and at our VIP reception).
We'll pose frank questions and expect frank answers about their businesses, their predictions, their concerns, what they are optimistic about, and their newest initiatives for 2011. This panel is historically conversational, candid, and occasionally heated.
After one day at Forecast, you'll look at your own 2011 with a fresh perspective and new data about plans from advertisers, predictions from economists, and real-world assumptions from operators. If you run or own a radio company, this is probably the best place to gather information so you can make practical decisions about 2011.
Attendance is limited to 200 persons, and registration is pacing 19 percent ahead of last year, so another sellout is likely. Sign up before Thanksgiving and save $200 on the registration price.
