Today is the 90th anniversary of the first commercial radio broadcast, on Election Day 1920. KDKA/Pittsburgh, now a CBS Radio News/Talker, was founded by Frank Conrad (pictured). On that first day, the station broadcast the results of the presidential election, to about a hundred people. |
