Former MTV Networks and AOL Networks CEO Bob Pittman joins Clear Channel Communications as chairman of media and entertainment platforms, working with a new board of directors operating committee and CC management. Clear Channel Radio President/CEO John Hogan will report to the new operating committee via Pittman.

Citadel Broadcasting reports that its consolidated net revenue was up 2.6 percent in the third quarter, to $188.6 million from $183.8 million. Revenue from Citadel's radio stations was up 3.7 percent, to $161.5 million, while network revenue fell about 3.7 percent, to $28.3 million. |

Westwood One saw its revenue rise 12.1 percent in the third quarter, to $88 million from $78.5 million in the third quarter of 2009. Within that, network radio was up 9.3 percent and traffic rose 15 percent in Q3. The company's net loss in the quarter was $7.2 million (35 cent per share), compared to $53.5 million ($10.03) a year ago. |
