Commission Proposes Defunding Public Broadcasting

The bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, formed to reduce government spending, has proposed ending funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. CPB received $420 million in 2010 and has asked for more than $500 million for 2012.
